I’ve avoided government contracting, but I’ve been very exposed to it via my reserve experience. It is a mess of cronyism, under-the-table deals, and genuine ripoffs that needs to be fixed. Opening it up with a public interface will improve innovation, and get money out of the hands of the mega-contracting corporations into small businesses. SBIR projects were intended to do this, but failed.
